Amorim, Cassiano Caon2024-03-012024-03-012020-09-29https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14135/970The present dissertation was developed in the Professional Master in Management and Education Assessment (PPGP) of the Center for Public Policy and Federal University Education Evaluation of Juiz de Fora (CAED/UFJF). The present management case has as study object the in loco evaluation, developed by the Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Anísio Teixeira (INEP – National Institute of Study and Research Anísio Teixeira), of brazilian undergraduate courses offered at distance. The evaluative instruments and their indicators were analyzed, the evaluators selection and training as well as the whole evaluation process to understand if it is enough to induce the quality of that kind of undergraduate courses offered in national scope. The goals of the research were: review the legislation that supports that type of evaluation; analyze the historic evolution of the evaluative instruments; analyze the historic evolution of that type of offer in the country; analyze the evaluators training and the evaluation process flow, as an overview, with the intent to propose possible improvements in the current model. This study was developed because it was noticed the need to improve the knowledge of the distance education, since this type of offer has an accelerated growth nowadays. The actors involved in the management case were: the INEP, in the exercise of its competence to promote the in loco evaluation of undergraduate courses; the evaluators of the Banco Nacional de Avaliadores do SINAES (BASIS – SINAES National Bank of Evaluators); and the higher education institutions.
